Job Description

Issuing Solutions is a high-growth, multi-billion-dollar business unit within Visa’s Value-Added Services (VAS) organization. Our group is responsible for building and commercializing products that improve issuing bank processing and cardholder experiences.

This is a business planning, operations and product strategy role that owns and drives research, analysis and strategy for a global product. In this role, you will research and analyze data from across a portfolio of products, derive business insights and help inform product decisions.

Responsibilities include

  • Market Assessment:  Understand the addressable market, Visa’s right to play or win, and target market share.

  • Revenue Management - Understand the P&L of the products, driving revenue growth in the P&L while managing OpEx and ensuring strong unit margins.

  • Voice of Customer - Owning the VoC ingestion and assessment of regional needs and interests.

  • Process Development - Establish, document, and refine PLM process for engagement program iteration based on common best practices, market feedback and experience.

  • Support GTM - Participate in the development of GTM materials representing the product vision for critical product launches and strategic projects across regions.

  • Identify business needs and develop strategic/functional action plans driven by qualitative/quantitative analysis and market insights.

  • Perform pricing analysis and provide recommendations.

  • Review monthly financial data produced by finance department to ensure that information is accurate and work closely with finance team to investigate any abnormalities.

  • Prepare required reports and dashboards to provide regional teams and leadership with a clear picture of current business performance and progress towards targets.

  • Support ad-hoc analysis (e.g., deep dives into markets, clients, projects) to drive new sales efforts, identify gaps to targets and provide business insights that can support and enhance decision-making. 

  • Actively participate in modelling incentive agreements with clients

  • Strong analytical and business reporting skills.  Ability to develop complex business models and tailored reports.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and execute fast.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Self-motivated, can do attitude.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word & PowerPoint, PowerBI)

  • Negotiation skills leading to timely and acceptable resolutions.

  • Solid interpersonal skills working with cross-functional teams. 

  • Ability to work in matrixed environment and deal with complexity.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Effective in the development and preparation of executive level briefs.

  • Able to work well independently

 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic 

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred 

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/ or electronic payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes will be considered a plus
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas with a passion for developing clear, effective, and compelling presentations
  • Understanding of product lifecycle management activities and artifacts.
  • Interpersonally credible, influential in their dealings and sensitive to a multicultural environment.
  • Strong self-management skills including demonstrated drive and energy.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are required
  • Working knowledge of payments, card issuing and lifecycle engagement best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High level of comfort with data, files, and technical communication
  • Excellent data and analytical skills to support commercialization of services
  • Motivated to develop an understanding of the evolving industry context as well as developing a broad and deep understanding of Visa’s business and products
  • Able to work independently and with broad instructions
  • Strong business acumen and a global mindset

Location,   the preferred location will be based in Foster City and will require in person attendance (HYBRID) 

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 143,200 to 203,900 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
