Position Title: Construction CAPEX Project Manager

The Coupang Construction CAPEX Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing capital construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

What you will do:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
  • Lead the execution of construction projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Manage CAPEX budgets ranging from [insert range, e.g., $1M–$100M+].
  • Track project costs and ensure financial accountability.
  • Prepare and present regular budget and progress reports to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with internal departments (engineering, procurement, finance, operations) and external stakeholders (contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies).
  • Facilitate communication and decision-making among stakeholders.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project risks and implement contingency plans as needed.

Procurement & Contract Management

  • Oversee tendering processes and contract negotiations.
  • Manage vendor and contractor performance.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure construction meets design specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and coordinate testing and commissioning activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing large-scale CAPEX construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with lean construction and sustainability practices.
  • International project experience is a plus
