Job Description
The VISA Corporate Apps Team is looking for a UI/UX Designer with strong technical skills, with a complete understanding of the agile development process. This role is for developing and enhancing an intranet portal. This role gives an opportunity to technically design and enhance the way web portals are built and integrated with other systems. The individual will design and develop the best user experience. You should have a strong knowledge of the overall software delivery lifecycle and activities including standups, release and sprint planning, reviews, demos, and retrospectives. Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, integration, and regression testing and adhere to architecture standards, risk management, and security policies.
Job Summary: As a UX Engineer at Visa, you will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces that are both visually appealing and highly functional. You will work closely with our product, design, and development teams to create seamless and engaging user experiences. Your expertise in Figma, HTML, and CSS will be essential in bringing our digital products to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and translate them into interactive designs.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
Develop and maintain responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
Implement and optimize user interface components to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on design solutions.
Ensure designs are consistent with brand guidelines and design principles.
Stay up to date with the latest UX/UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
·Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 - 4 years of experience as a UX Engineer, UX Designer, or similar role.
- Proficiency in Figma for creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and related technologies (e.g., Sass, Less, Bootstrap).
- Familiarity with JavaScript and front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
