About the position:
Salt is expanding and seeking an outstanding Senior Product Manager to join our product group. If you have strong leadership skills, a proactive problem-solving approach, an entrepreneurial mindset, attention to detail, and a steep learning curve - we are looking for you.
You will play a pivotal role in driving one of the core Application domain and capabilities, which are vital components enabling our entire API security value chain - from APIs discovery to APIs vulnerabilities, and detection. You will get to demonstrate your deep understanding within the application security domain (with a focus on API security architecture and ecosystem), excellent relationship-building skills with partners and internal stakeholders, and your ability to translate complex technical situations into smart product solutions.
What will you do?
- Take full ownership of one of our API Security Applications, managing their full life cycle from gathering customers requirements, planning, implementation with engineering, and lunch.
- Be data-driven while working with our UX team to dramatically improve user experience, delivering more value to our customers, and increasing their use of the product.
- Collaborate with dozens of industry partners from the cloud, security, and API management ecosystems to strengthen the technological and go-to-market partnerships, and ultimately create integrations that scale across billions of API calls.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to define and prioritize technical requirements, ensuring alignment with product roadmap and business goals.
- Collaborate with other Product Managers and UX experts within the team to contribute to the creation and refinement of the product roadmap, delivering end-to-end user experience & value to our customers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market demands, and competitor offerings to better define our applications strategy and product enhancements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (at least one successful position) in Cybersecurity with a focus and deep knowledge in AppSec or API Security domains.
- Strong technical background, or alternatively hands-on experience as a security researcher
- Proven experience (at least 3+ years) as a technical product manager in domains such as cybersecurity, data acquisition, API technologies, and cloud technologies
- Experience in working with B2B SaaS/Cloud products
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to foster partnerships with technical stakeholders and external partners
- problem-solving skills with a track record of translating complex technical concepts into actionable product strategies
- Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical documentation and present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent - Advantage
