Key job responsibilities
The System Development Engineer, AI Annotation supports scientific research efforts in our Content Reasoning, Enrichment and Localization team (CoREL) team. We build and deploy Generative AI models across Prime Video Lines of Business, including Ads, Trust & Safety, and Metadata.
Annotation tooling is critical for our team’s success. Annotation tools allow us to collect data to build highly-performance models, and they allow us to conduct early studies into model performance.
This role would be responsible for end-to-end ownership of annotation tools, from initial single page application development to monitoring annotation jobs through completion. This role will support several research teams with remits across lines of business and machine learning methodologies.
Tasks include:
* Gather requirements from collaborators on research teams in computer vision, audio processing and language modeling
* Build single page applications for human annotators to label data using HTML and CSS technologies
* Codify business requirements into JavaScript
* Build queues and pipelines to populate labeling queues with data using AWS Cloud Technologies
* Build and manage QuickSight dashboards for monitoring progress
* Monitor feedback from annotation teams regarding queue health or tool functions
* Fix tools, pipelines, and dashboards as needed
