As Netflix continues to scale, the Dubbing Global Resource Strategy team supports long range planning of external resources along with supporting global frameworks for ensuring external vendors workflows are able to support, and be supported by, Netflix creative and operational goals.
As a Specialist, Dubbing Partner Operations, you will work within the Dubbing team, along with a variety of cross functional teams such as Studio Strategy & Analysis, Product/Engineering, Content Security, Data Science & Engineering, amongst many others. You will help leverage data to identify and mitigate workflow opportunities & challenges amongst the global vendor ecosystem, partnering with business, engineering and innovation teams to design solutions. Our environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will need to demonstrate excellent strategic, problem-solving skills and a proven record for improving existing frameworks, tools and technologies. The right mix of organizational, analytical and communication skills is key to success as a large part of the role is collaborating with business partners to understand and communicate needs. This role reports to the Manager, Dubbing Partner Technical Operations, based in Amsterdam.
About You
You have workflow experience in the fields of dubbing/localization and possess a mix of both a strategy and operations mindset. You have demonstrated you can analyze, surface, and visualize data from specific data sources, and you possess the technical know-how to enable data-driven decision making. You’re comfortable interacting with local and global colleagues and vendors and are able to easily explain detailed operational concepts to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of driving Dubbing partner metrics reporting and visualization, with relevant stakeholders.
Manage external partner submission data processing, seeking ways to automate workflow wherever possible.
Identify opportunities to automate data gathering and minimize manual approaches to reporting while also creating the ability to manage by exception via rules and automated alerts .
Translate data into business insights and be able to clearly present & communicate them to stakeholders in order to drive reflection and action.
Determine and define the correct data sets and variables, cleaning and validating the data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and uniformity.
Build a cross-functional support team including Creative Services Innovation, Financial Planning & Analysis, Studio Planning & Analysis, Data Science & Engineering to achieve reporting and data goals.
Command an understanding of Netflix tooling and how those tools are used and integrated with external Dubbing partners.
Partner closely with local Dubbing teams and our Dubbing Strategy & Innovation team to leverage data to monitor and support adoption of internal tooling/workflow development and initiatives.
Project Manage initiatives/goals with the Dubbing team and cross-functionals.
Collect, analyze, and visualize operational data from multiple sources using tools such as Airtable and Tableau to generate actionable insights and drive informed decision-making across workflows.
Craft memos and presentations as a vehicle for communication.
Requirements:
10+ years experience in audio visual post production or dubbing technology, interacting with creatives, vendors, managing maintenance and upgrades.
Experience with integration and operation of post-production or localization tools and infrastructure.
Agile, goal-oriented personality, driven to succeed and always up for a challenge.
Ability to be forward thinking, strategic and innovative, while proactively making decisions that can sometimes be difficult or challenging. Passion for learning and experimenting with new technologies. Experience building and defining software requirements.
Top-notch communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak clearly and concisely, and translate technical speak for non-technical partners.
Ability to forge strong partnerships, collaborate and learn with stakeholder groups.
Demonstrated ability to connect to and work with multiple data sources, leveraging tools such as Airtable and Tableau. Strong proficiency in using formulas and data modeling techniques to accurately analyze, visualize, and translate complex data into actionable insights that drive operational and strategic decisions.
