Senior Manager, Clinical Informatics

What you’ll do:

As part of the informatics team, you’ll play a key role in helping us aggregate and quality control data from various electronic health record systems and structured data sources to build the largest library of oncology clinical data in the world.  You’ll work with clinical data experts, engineers, data scientists, and medical terminologists to ensure the quality of our data for analysis downstream. In addition, you’ll help establish playbooks and documentation to scale processes and bring creative, AI-driven solutions and tooling to improve team efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Leverage and further build on our existing toolkit to aggregate and harmonize complex data

• Own QA processes to ensure that data adheres to a common set of standards

• Leverage Python/SQL for data querying, quality assurance, and calling APIs 

• Identify and operationalize improvements to data processing infrastructure and workflow, particularly tooling using generative AI

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, or Information Systems (Master’s Preferred)

• 5+ years of experience working with complex data (preferably EHR)

• Familiarity with Python, SQL, and Github

• Familiarity with Oncology and Cancer Genomics

• Extremely high attention to detail and fast learner

• Enjoy cross-functional collaboration; strong communicator

Nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of Health Informatics 

• Experience with Standard Medical Terminologies (SNOMED-CT, ICD-9/10, LOINC, etc.)

• Experience with NLP techniques

Illinois Pay Range: $150,000.00 -$210,000.00 USD

New York Pay Range: $150,000.00 -$210,000.00 USD

The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
