Responsabilities:
The position of Argentina Intern for the HP.com business will encompass the following operational responsibilities:
- Conduct continuous analysis of pricing and market trends.
- Monitor product visibility and availability across various marketplaces.
- Oversee the sales performance of the entire product portfolio, including sales in and sales out, and analyze inventory levels to identify potential opportunities.
- Provide support for any customer experience initiatives related to the HP.com business site, such as the implementation or enhancement of payment gateways.
- Assist in the introduction of new categories and products for the HP Store business.
- Develop and monitor the progress of promotional campaigns.
- Follow up on purchase orders.
The position will report to the Country Leader of the hp.com business based in Buenos Aires.
Skills:
Foundational Business Acumen:
- Understanding of Business Principles: This includes a grasp of core concepts in areas like marketing, finance, operations, and management.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: E-commerce is data-driven. Being able to analyze information (sales figures, website traffic, customer behavior) and identify potential issues or opportunities is highly valued.
- Communication Skills (Written and Verbal): The Intern will likely be interacting with team members, customers (sometimes), and potentially vendors. Clear and concise communication, both in emails and conversations, is essential.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Juggling tasks, meeting deadlines, and staying organized are vital in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
- Proficiency in Basic Office Software: Familiarity with word processing (like Microsoft Word or Google Docs), spreadsheets (like Excel or Google Sheets), and presentation software (like PowerPoint or Google Slides) is generally expected.
E-commerce Specific Skills and Knowledge:
- Understanding of E-commerce Platforms: While you might not need deep technical expertise, a basic understanding of how e-commerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar systems work is beneficial. Familiarity with concepts like product listings, shopping carts, and order processing is a plus.
- Digital Marketing Basics: An introductory understanding of online marketing channels such as social media marketing, email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising can be very attractive.
- Customer Service Orientation: E-commerce heavily relies on positive customer experiences. Demonstrating an understanding of good customer service principles and a willingness to assist customers is important.
- Data Entry and Management: You might be involved in tasks like updating product information, managing inventory data, or compiling reports. Accuracy and attention to detail are key here.
- Awareness of E-commerce Trends: Staying informed about current trends in online shopping, digital marketing, and consumer behavior shows initiative and interest.
