Radical AI, Inc. is an artificial intelligence company that is accelerating scientific research & development. We are at the forefront of innovation in the field of materials R&D, a critical driver for advancing our most cutting-edge industries and shaping the future. Breaking away from the traditionally slow and costly R&D process, Radical AI leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to pioneer generative materials science. This innovative field blends AI, engineering, and materials science, revolutionizing how materials are created and discovered. Radical AI's approach speeds up R&D and addresses global challenges, setting new benchmarks in technology and sustainability.
The Opportunity
As a Roboticist at Radical AI, you’ll build intelligent robotic systems for a fully autonomous materials discovery lab. Your focus will span path planning, perception, control, and manipulation—enabling mobile robots and 6DOF arms to safely and reliably perform complex tasks in dynamic lab environments. You’ll work with ROS 2, Nav2, MoveIt, and simulation platforms like Isaac Sim to develop, test, and deploy robust autonomy stacks. Your code will control real robots that move through physical space, handle experimental materials, and bridge the sim2real divide in a highly interdisciplinary setting.
You are a robotics engineer with hands-on experience in perception, motion planning, and control for both mobile robots and manipulators. You think in terms of both software architecture and physical behavior. You’re comfortable with simulation tools and robotic middleware, and you’ve deployed code that controls real-world systems safely and autonomously.
You may not have done all of the following, but the prospect of learning and owning these technologies excites you:
