The Project Management Office (PMO) within Nasdaq’s Marketplace Technology division plays a crucial role in ensuring successful project execution and operational excellence. We are seeking a Project Management Process Specialist with a strong focus on financial management at the portfolio level to enhance our financial oversight, improve forecasting methodologies, and establish meaningful KPIs for early detection of financial risks and opportunities across the entire project portfolio.
What You Will Do:
As a Project Management Process Specialist, you will play a critical role in strengthening financial management practices across the project portfolio. Your focus will be on improving how we forecast, track, and monitor project budgets holistically, ensuring alignment between department-wide financial planning, project demand, and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Portfolio-Level Financial Oversight: Develop and maintain financial processes at the portfolio level, ensuring clear visibility into risks, opportunities, and trends across all projects.
• Financial Risk & Opportunity Management: Analyze financial performance across the project portfolio to identify early warning signals for budget overruns, margin compression, or cost-saving opportunities.
• Budget Forecasting & Tracking: Design holistic financial forecasting models to improve budget accuracy and reduce manual tracking efforts for project managers.
• Department Budgeting & Resourcing: Assess department-wide budgets, project demand, and resource planning to determine future headcount and financial needs, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• KPI & Metric Development: Establish and maintain financial KPIs that enable proactive decision-making, providing transparency into project financial health.
• Revenue Recognition Alignment: Improve awareness and application of revenue recognition principles tied to project milestones, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Finance, and Business Leaders to strengthen financial discipline and align portfolio-level financial management with business objectives.
• Technology & AI-Driven Innovation: Identify and implement advanced financial tools and AI-driven solutions to enhance forecasting, automate reporting, and improve financial analysis capabilities.
• Governance & Best Practices: Develop standardized financial management best practices for project portfolios, ensuring alignment with Nasdaq’s financial policies and objectives.
What We Expect From You:
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Project Management.
• Proven experience in financial management for projects and programmes, including budget forecasting, project accounting, and financial risk analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, revenue recognition, and cost management within large-scale project environments.
• Experience in developing portfolio-wide financial metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to drive better decision-making.
• Proficiency in financial tools (e.g., Excel, OneStream, ERP systems) with a keen interest in leveraging AI-driven solutions for financial automation and forecasting.
• Experience analyzing department budgets and project demand to forecast future headcount and financial requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize large datasets and provide actionable financial insights.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful business discussions.

- Monthly base salary starting from 3000 to 3800 EUR gross. Final offer will be based on your experience.
