The mission of the Applied AI team is to enable organizations within Worldwide Amazon.com Stores to accelerate the adoption of AI technologies across various parts of our business.
As a member of the Applied AI team, you will push the boundaries of advanced ML and Generative AI techniques to scale the inputs for hundreds of billions of dollars of annual revenue for our eCommerce business. Key job responsibilities
You will work closely with technical and non-technical, financial, and business stakeholders on delivering strategic initiatives that result in measurable impact. You will work closely with scientists and engineers on establishing engineering practices for the team and the stakeholders with whom you work. You will raise the high quality bar, deliver solutions that align with our customers’ business needs. You will think global and at Amazon-scale when making trade-offs, ensuring the technology we build evolves in the right long term direction, while quickly and continuously delivering value to our customers.
A day in the life
* Define, execute, and manage solutions to external teams.
* Lead cross-functional teams to understand requirements, make the right trade-offs to ensure high-quality deliverables on time.
* Influence organizational priorities through data-driven approaches.
* Assess and mitigate risks, handle escalations, and provide concise updates to stakeholders at all levels.
* Dive deep to understand complex problems and break them down into small pieces with straight-forward solutions.
* Mentor individuals in the community on advanced technical issues, and help them grow their careers.
