Job Overview: As the People Manager, you will be pivotal in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the overall business objectives. You will manage all aspects of people operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR policy enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

Culture spreading:

You will be responsible for fostering the Mistral culture with existing and new employees. We love transparency, science, intense teamwork, and having fun. We're creative, bold, and rigorous, and we aim for excellence in the fast-moving field of AI. We love scrappy, low-ego people who can do things themselves before delegating.

Employee Relations:

Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances fairly and confidentially.
Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.

Performance Management:

Implement and manage performance appraisal processes.
Work with managers to develop performance improvement plans and provide guidance on employee development.

Training and Development:

Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
Support continuous learning initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies.

HR Policy and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
Develop and update HR policies and procedures as needed.

Talent Acquisition (alongside our Talent Acquisition Specialist):

Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and ensure timely fulfilment of open positions.

Qualifications:

10 years of proven experience in human resources management.
Experience in early-stage startups is a real plus.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
