Overview
The Enterprise Data Accessibility team is looking for a Manager, Data Engineering to drive the enablement and support of our Business Intelligence products by innovating, problem-solving, and fostering a collaborative team culture. The ideal candidate is passionate about people leadership and data-driven decision making, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and has experience leveraging technology to solve problems.

Role
• Lead the development and support of Business Intelligence products to help internal users maximize the value of enterprise data
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and innovation.
• Encourage continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and cultivate a strong engineering culture.
• Provide coding and design guidance to junior team members
• Provide strategic leadership on architecture, methodologies, and best practices.
• Collaborate with peers to remove barriers and help enable the team’s success.
• Optimize processes for better data delivery, scalability, and reliability.

All About You
• Demonstrated leadership skills in matrix-based teams and working with diverse, geographically distributed members.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile Methodologies, and engineering best practices.
• Skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly
• Always look for potential solutions to solve problems
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, such as DOMO, Alteryx, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI, Tableau
• Understand Agile Methodology for delivering engineering results
• Ability to identify and implement improvements in development workflows, enhancing efficiency and team productivity.
• Strong ability to work across teams, functions, and geographies, fostering effective collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, drive alignment, and navigate organizational dynamics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
