AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: Reporting to the Director of Regional APJ Marketing, the Japan Marketing Team Leader serves as the primary AMD marketing contact for the Japan Sales and Marketing Team. THE PERSON: We're seeking a dynamic individual with a proactive approach, strong leadership skills, and a passion for driving impactful marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will excel in collaborating across HQ, regional, and in-country teams to deliver exceptional results. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Japan Marketing Team Leader, you will oversee comprehensive support across various business verticals within regional marketing teams. Your role involves managing Japan's marketing team performance and ensuring seamless execution of tactical tasks to enable a sharper focus on strategic initiatives. Leading and managing the Japan Marketing Team Providing in-country support for various go-to-market activations, including local commercial, consumer, server/cloud, and component initiatives Establishing key distributor relationships and overseeing local marketing implementations for major OEMs Driving local channel and SI-related CPU and GPU marketing executions, including product launches, events, and activations Coordinating customized marketing assets with local agencies for retail executions and POSM deployment Serving as a bridge between AMD HQ, APJ, and Japan, offering localized content support across all segments Providing tactical support for regional marketing managers during various events Managing event logistics, including asset ordering, shipping, and payments Collaborating with marketing operations to address customer inquiries and organize training sessions for key accounts Cultivating deep partner relationships with AMD and other major brands PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years of customer-facing marketing experience, with a focus on account management preferred Demonstrated customer focus, strong organizational skills, and adeptness in prioritization In-depth understanding of current marketing strategies, particularly in digital marketing Proven track record in creative problem-solving and ownership of deliverables Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations and adaptable to changing business needs Passion for marketing, technology, and customer relationship management Confidence in public speaking and willingness to represent the company Availability for travel as required ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience/training LOCATION: Japan, Tokyo #LI-JV1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
