Salesforce is hiring an experienced, technical enterprise communications professional to lead our growing Partner communications program. This person will build out the program infrastructure to empower partners to amplify our story, craft a compelling narrative that highlights how our $2 trillion partner ecosystem is driving success for customers, and drive coverage in partnership with our Fortune 500 partners, independent software vendors and system integrators.
Passion for emerging technology and creative storytelling is key. The candidate must be comfortable translating complex technologies and concepts into compelling stories for media, understand the enterprise technology landscape, and lead communications activities that advance broader business goals. This person will partner closely with senior executives across the communications, marketing, business development and product teams to define strategies and drive results that set Salesforce apart. This person will be able to take an audience-first approach, with the ability to tell stories across earned and owned channels and mediums. A deep understanding of AI, data, and platform technologies and the related media landscape is a must.
We’re looking for a PR pro who can understand how partners factor into the rhythm of our business, land agenda-setting stories in top-tier business and tech media that advance our corporate goals, and drive alignment between senior leadership at Salesforce and partner organizations.
Candidate must be able to develop a new scalable communications program, turn on a dime as strategies and priorities shift, build consensus across multiple groups and – most important drive sustained impact.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and define the strategic vision for Salesforce's global Partner Communications program, aligning it directly with overarching corporate and business objectives, including Agentforce.
Develop and champion a cohesive global partner communications strategy that deeply integrates with the Agentforce narrative and demonstrably contributes to key business outcomes, such as customer success and partner growth.
Act as a trusted counselor to senior executives on complex issues, both communications-related and beyond. See around corners. Understand market trends and how we should be tapping into them to drive relevance.
Coordinate complex, high-visibility announcements with top strategic partners, ensuring messaging alignment and maximizing impact across global media.
Identify and drive proactive media, social media, and thought leadership opportunities to showcase our partners—including strategic partners, independent software vendors (ISVs), and system integrators.
Develop and execute PR strategies for key partner moments, partnership milestones, and joint customer success stories, securing top-tier media coverage.
Work cross-functionally with Salesforce PR, marketing, and international comms teams to integrate partner narratives into corporate and product news cycles.
Drive content creation, including press releases, newsroom articles, blog posts, executive bylines, and internal partner communications.
Oversee and provide direction to external PR agencies, ensuring their efforts align with program objectives and deliver measurable results.
Support company-wide campaigns and events (e.g., Dreamforce, TrailblazerDX), ensuring partner representation in high-visibility moments.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in communications, ideally public relations - agency, in-house, or both
Can dive in and become a true subject-matter expert on our technologies and ecosystem strategy.
Demonstrated ability to work with strategic partners in a way that is both effective and mutually beneficial. Executive presence and the ability to confidently engage with senior leaders, partners, and reporters.
Proven media relations expertise, with strong relationships in business and tech-focused press. Comfortable briefing reporters on background when necessary.
Excellent writing, editing, and content development skills, with experience crafting executive messaging and partner-focused content.
Strong project management skills, able to drive complex, multi-stakeholder announcements and initiatives. Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and pivot as needed.
No ego, high adaptability—willing to roll up sleeves, take on diverse tasks, and support the broader comms team as needed.
