AI Agent Operations Project Intern (AI Data Service and Operations) - 2026 Start (BS/MS)

About the team
The AI Data Service and Operations (ADSO) team is responsible for providing safety and non-safety data annotation services and search operation services for all of the company's international products, which can also help international products build their own data ecological security.

As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Responsibilities
1. AI Solution Development & Testing
- Build and test application-oriented AI solutions, including LLM-based tools, intelligent annotation systems, and workflow automation
- Identify opportunities to rethink or replace traditional processes in suitable projects, leveraging platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and internal ByteDance AI frameworks
- Collaborate with technical teams to prototype tools that reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy
2. SOP Development & Optimization
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for AI-driven and manual projects, including flowcharts, decision tree breakdowns, user guidelines, and best practices
- Analyze existing workflows to identify limitations and provide data-backed optimization suggestions
- Promote the reuse and dissemination of successful AI solutions across the department to ensure cross-functional impact
3. AI Research & Data Analysis
- Research, evaluate, and experiment with new AI tools, models, and cutting-edge trends specifically related to the AI Agent industry
- Extract and analyze large datasets using SQL and Excel to monitor project KPIs and measure the impact of newly implemented AI tools
- Prepare executive-level presentations (WBRs/MBRs) to communicate findings and project milestones to leadership

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Must be in your penultimate or final year of study
- Available for a full-time internship for a minimum of 6 months
- Familiarity with LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) and an interest in AI Agent architecture or workflow automation
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables) and basic SQL

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Management of Technology, or a related field
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or process mapping for complex operations
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to turn technical AI concepts into clear, actionable business strategies
