Verafin – Senior Software Developer (Enterprise Data Integration)

We're looking for a passionate Senior Software Developer to join our Enterprise Data Integration team. In this role, you'll design, develop, and support cutting-edge technical solutions. You'll work hands-on with the latest AWS technologies, unlocking the full potential of big data to solve complex, real-world challenges.

What You'll Do: 

• Implement data normalization and ingestion solutions in AWS using Spark, Postgres, Java, Scala and Unix Utilities  

• Define a strategy for data flows to meet the requirements of the Verafin application  

• Partner with cross-functional data teams to design, implement, and uphold technical best practices in data engineering, architecture, and governance—ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions. 

What We're Looking For: 

• A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience 

• 2-5 years development experience is required for this role 

• Strong analytical skills for complex and creative problem solving  

• Experience in object-oriented software development (Java)        

• Experience with Database technologies (PostgresSQL)  

• An understanding of AI methodologies applicable to this area would be beneficial. 

• Automated testing  

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; able to work closely with team members  

• You have a 'Customer first' attitude - always putting the customer's needs first

• Developing cloud-based services that have good uptime, health, and security  

• Producing clean and efficient code
