Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics - leads the development and execution of compliance strategies within their area of responsibility. This role ensures adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies by monitoring regulatory changes, conducting impact assessments, and managing risk mitigation efforts. The position involves collaborating with leadership to communicate findings, develop business plans, and promote ethical standards. Additionally, the role provides guidance and mentorship to associates, fosters a culture of integrity, and supports continuous improvement to uphold Walmart’s commitment to compliance and operational excellence.

What you'll do...

The AI Compliance team at Walmart leads the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), driving transformation in retail for customers and associates. This team ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance standards by monitoring laws, assessing risks, and developing strategic responses. They collaborate across functions to identify and assist in mitigation planning and implement effective standards and guidelines for the responsible use of AI. With a focus on leadership, governance, and clear communication, the team supports continuous improvement and innovation while upholding Walmart’s commitment to the Responsible AI pledge.

• Regulatory Review: The candidate will continuously review and stay updated on regulatory requirements to ensure our initiatives are compliant and well-documented.
• AI Compliance Reviews: The candidate will conduct regular AI reviews to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of our AI models.
• Controls and Monitoring: The candidate will assist in building robust controls and monitoring systems to drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to our policies and regulatory standards.
• Strategic Initiatives: The candidate will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, aligning them with overall business goals and objectives.
• AI Ethics Champion: The candidate will promote and uphold our principles for responsible and ethical AI use.

• Proven expertise in governance, compliance strategy, and regulatory compliance within complex business environments.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative work culture.
• Ability to analyze compliance risks, assist in mitigation strategies, and communicate findings effectively to senior leadership.
• Proficiency in monitoring legislation, conducting impact assessments, and managing regulatory forecasting and gap analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders, influence decision-making, and promote ethical standards.
• Demonstrated capability to drive continuous improvement and adapt strategies in response to evolving regulatory requirements.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience. 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
