Systems Integration Engineer – Power Systems

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.

We are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer to lead the integration, validation, and optimization of our power systems.

Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and technician teams to validate, and integrate offboard charging and power systems into humanoid robots.
• Develop and execute benchtop validation plans for charging systems.
• Plan and oversee system integration from the subsystem to full system validation.
• Address thermal management challenges and cooling solutions for offboard charging systems.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, test plans, and validation results.
• Perform diagnostics to resolve on-robot failures and analyze robot data to drive enhancements in testing and validation workflows.

Requirements: 

• Relevant experience integrating custom mechatronic or power systems for real products.
• Expertise in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with compliance/EMC testing and mitigation for power systems.
• In-depth knowledge of power systems (AC/DC, DCDC, resonant converters).
• Hands-on, highly technical approach to integration.
• Excellent communication and planning skills.

Bonus Qualifications: 

• Expertise in firmware, automation and controls.
• Familiarity with robotics or humanoid systems.
• Experience with thermal management techniques and cooling system design.
• Leadership experience in cross-functional engineering projects.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $170,000 - $250,000 annually.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
