Job Description

Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.

Tenstorrent is building next-generation AI compute across hardware and software. This role focuses on delivering AI model IP and the supporting software stack into real customer environments, ensuring performance, correctness, and deployability at scale.

This role is hybrid, based out of Austin, TX; Santa Clara, CA; or Toronto, ON.

We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.

Who You Are

  • Technical integration expert with experience in AI infrastructure, compilers, semiconductors, or systems spanning those domains.
  • Proven track record delivering functional IP such as hardware and software into customer environments. Escalation and de-escalation of customer needs.
  • Systems thinker who can map customer requirements across models, serving stacks, performance targets, and hardware configurations to current platform capabilities.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where hardware and software evolve simultaneously and ambiguity is high.
  • Strong communicator who bridges customer needs with engineering reality across timelines and tradeoffs.

What We Need

  • Own end-to-end delivery of AI model IP and supporting software including compiler outputs, runtime libraries, model artifacts, and hardware collateral.
  • Define and enforce release criteria covering correctness, performance, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Align hardware, compiler, runtime, kernel, and legal teams to ensure deliverables are technically sound, compliant, and deployable.
  • Identify integration risks including toolchain gaps, performance issues, and system mismatches and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Provide clear visibility to leadership on deployment status and translate customer needs into actionable roadmap priorities.

What You Will Learn

  • How AI models are compiled, optimized, and deployed on custom accelerator architectures across multi-device systems.
  • How complex software and hardware IP is packaged and delivered to customers while the underlying stack is still evolving.
  • How to manage programs in environments where compiler, kernel, and runtime systems are rapidly advancing.
  • How product and engineering roadmaps are shaped by real-world customer deployment requirements.
  • How large-scale AI systems are delivered to Tier 1 customers with both standard and custom needs.

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
