Sr. Technical Program Manager, PXT Finance - Engineering

We are looking for an Senior Technical Program Manager to push the boundaries of machine learning and simulation at Amazon scale. As a member of People Experience Technology and Finance, you will help drive ML forecasting and prediction related improvements by delivering state-of-the-art system and model optimization techniques in collaboration with multiple Amazon science and engineering teams. Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will define, own and drive technical programs that span multiple engineering/science teams and organizational boundaries. You will partner with product and finance management and technical leadership teams to identify company-wide opportunities to drive ML/AI projects across multiple dimensions. You will help identify new areas of investment and work to align other group's engineering roadmaps to deliver on these opportunities and optimize delivery outcomes. As a technical leader, you will influence strategy and outcomes across different Amazon organizations.

This role is inherently cross-functional and requires a strong ability to communicate, influence and earn the trust of software engineers, technical and business leadership.

A day in the life
• Explore emerging AI/ML technologies and trends, identifying opportunities to further optimize and automate finance related processes.

• Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate and select the appropriate technologies and frameworks for developing intelligent self-service tools and automation solutions.

• Engage with stakeholders from Finance, Accounting, Product, and Exec. Leadership to gather requirements, define success metrics, and ensure solutions align with customer needs and business objectives.

• Conduct program reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure solutions meet security, scalability, and performance standards.

• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and drive mitigating actions to keep initiatives on track for successful delivery.

• Represent the voice of the customer by advocating for user-centric design principles and seamless integration of AI/ML capabilities into expense related workflows.

• Analyze adoption metrics, gather user feedback, and work with teams to iterate and enhance solutions based on insights gained from real-world usage.
