In this role as a Software Development Manager (SDM), you will lead a team that is building new software systems and customer experiences, that will help greatly expand Rufus's availability to new cohorts of customers. This team is considered strategic and has visibility with leadership at the highest levels. The role offers a chance to build and launch AI powered customer experiences from the ground up, and work closely with an exceptional group of product, engineering, and science leaders.

Key job responsibilities


- Lead a team developing distributed systems that integrate Large Language Models, audio generation, and content management systems
- Drive architectural decisions across multiple components including widget distribution, remote strategy services, and data pipelines
- Partner with UX, Product and ML teams to deliver seamless conversational and informational shopping experiences
- Build scalable offline generation pipelines for pre-computing AI-generated content
- Ensure high performance and reliability while meeting strict latency requirements across Amazon's shopping surfaces
