AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: As a Senior Product Development engineer, you will collaborate with various Product Development Groups. This individual serves as a critical technical point of contact to the business, design, platform validation and product engineering teams. Join us!  THE PERSON: A successful candidate is one who can drive technical decisions independently, has accountability for accuracy, reliability and completeness of assignment results critical to the project’s success. This role allows the opportunity to influence technical decisions that have a significant impact on multiple products or the product line.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and execute feature enablement and validation test plans for SoC- and system-level SoC features across all AMD Server products Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure (software, hardware, automation environment, and lab setup) Test interactions between various SoC features using validation infrastructure Debug and drive root-cause analysis for SoC related issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams in developing tools to improve SoC validation and debug Work with cross-functional teams to improve post-silicon validation test strategy, methodology, and process PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience being accountable for results for multiple products or large projects, as well as for management of interdependencies with related areas  Experience with being responsible for projects or processes of significant technical importance and for results that cross engineering project areas Experience with SoC architecture and microprocessor cores Understanding of modern x86 microprocessor architecture and Server platform architecture is highly desired Experience developing validation methodologies and infrastructure Test plan and test development experience Participated in silicon bring up and debug, support to internal engineering teams Able to execute and drive success of programs with multiple projects on the go Debug skills at both SoC and system level Familiarity with programming / scripting language (C/C++, Python, Perl, ...) Working knowledge of Server OSes (Linux, Windows) Forward thinker that drives improvement to development process, code architecture and fosters a spirit of innovation and continuous improvement Strong verbal and written English communication skills ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines with 5-7 years of experience.
