Senior Global Supply Manager

Mountain View, California (HQ)

Job Description

Who We Are

Nuro exists to better everyday life through robotics. Founded in 2016, Nuro has spent eight years developing autonomous driving (AD) technology and commercializing AD applications. The Nuro Driver™ is our world-class autonomous driving system that combines AD hardware with our generalized AI-first self-driving software. Built to learn and improve through data, the Nuro Driver™ is one of the few driverless autonomous technologies on public roads today.

Nuro has raised over $2B in capital from Fidelity, Bailie Gifford, T. Rowe Price, Google, and other leading investors. We’ve partnered with some of the world’s most respected brands including Uber, FedEx, Domino’s, Walmart, Kroger, and 7-Eleven.

About the Team

Nuro’s Global Supply Chain team plays a critical role in scaling the hardware and software systems that power our autonomous vehicles. We own sourcing and supplier strategy for the company’s most essential systems—from vehicle platforms and compute to autonomous driving components—and ensure Nuro is positioned to move fast, deliver at scale, and manage risk across our supplier ecosystem.

About the Role

We are hiring a Staff-level Global Supply Chain Manager (GSM) to own and lead supply chain strategy, supplier execution, and critical vendor relationships across several of Nuro’s highest-priority categories—including vehicle platform components, next-gen compute systems, strategic software/IT and autonomy-enabling technologies. This individual will serve as the commercial and operational lead for Nuro’s most strategic suppliers, with end-to-end ownership over negotiation, risk management, and long-term relationship development.

You’ll be responsible for driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, hardware, operations, legal, IT, finance, and leadership to ensure Nuro’s most important supply chain programs are delivered on time, at cost, and with quality. You’ll have the experience, confidence, and instincts to aggressively negotiate with suppliers while fostering productive, long-term partnerships that support fast iteration, technical innovation, and scalable outcomes.

About the Work

  • Act as one of Nuro’s primary interfaces with its most critical suppliers—owning contract structure, commercial strategy, escalations, and performance management.
  • Lead strategic sourcing and execution for vehicle systems, vehicle compute, autonomy hardware/software supply chains as well as enterprise software and IT infrastructure..
  • Negotiate commercial terms that protect Nuro’s interests while allowing for rapid iteration, scaling, and high technical complexity.
  • Manage vendor performance across cost, delivery, and quality; drive resolution to root-cause supplier issues and lead corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to bring new designs into production, solve critical material availability issues, and support build readiness at all phases of product development.
  • Shape and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve supplier quality, mitigate risk, and improve total cost of ownership across all managed categories including other indirect spend as needed.
  • Use data, market insight, and “should-cost” models to guide sourcing decisions and influence internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute supply strategies in collaboration with engineering, legal, and executive teams to support Nuro’s long-term goals.

About You

  • 8–12+ years of experience in global supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or supplier development, ideally in fast-paced hardware environments (e.g., automotive, consumer electronics, robotics).
  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations while maintaining productive long-term vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated success owning high-stakes supplier partnerships across multiple programs, teams, and timelines.
  • Deep familiarity with manufacturing processes for components such as compute systems, precision machined parts, enclosures, wiring, sensors, or autonomous systems and commercial models for enterprise software, cloud, and IT service.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments where technical requirements evolve quickly.
  • Highly collaborative and a clear communicator, you know how to influence cross-functional teams, advocate for supply chain best practices, and get things done without unnecessary overhead.
  • Detail-oriented, operationally rigorous, and committed to data-driven decision-making.
  • Willing and excited to travel both domestically and internationally to support supplier relationships and program execution.

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $167,200.00 and $250,800.00 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.

At Nuro, we celebrate differences and are committed to a diverse workplace that fosters inclusion and psychological safety for all employees. Nuro is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and expressly prohibits any form of workplace discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics. #LI-DNP
