Job Description

You will join the Ubisoft Data Office – Enabling Domain to contribute to AI-focused innovation initiatives.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures that enable AI and machine learning models to operate efficiently.

This role bridges traditional data engineering with the specific needs of AI, ensuring the high-quality, fast, and secure data delivery required for advanced analytics and AI applications.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify relevant data in an AI innovation context by collaborating with UDO domains and the AI Innovation team.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize complex data pipelines (structured and unstructured data sources).
  • Implement rigorous validation, cleansing, and quality controls to ensure data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and data security standards.
  • Analyze AI-generated data and metadata to understand usage patterns and requirements, adapting solutions accordingly.
  • Innovate and propose creative solutions to support the development of scalable use cases as their maturity grows.

Qualifications

Relevant Experience

  • Strong analytical and autonomous problem-solving skills.
  • Experience building data pipelines (SQL, Python, PySpark) in a cloud environment (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) with scalable, maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and vector databases for model-centric workflows.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and emerging technologies.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent command of SQL, Python, and PySpark.
  • Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks ecosystems.
  • Airflow or equivalent orchestration tools.
  • DataOps/DevOps practices: Git, CI/CD, monitoring/observability, testing.
  • Strong data quality practices and rigorous documentation.
  • Prior experience contributing to AI-related projects.
