As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will design, build, and improve data ingestion pipelines and automation for Nasdaq Data Link, ensuring data completeness, accuracy, and reliability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Join the Nasdaq Data Link Data Operations and Engineering (DOPE) team, responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines that power Nasdaq Data Link, the world’s largest data marketplace for financial, economic, and alternative data.

Role Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries:
 

• Design, implement and support components of our data platform with a strong emphasis on data onboarding and automation
• Automate data ingestion from various sources
• Automate data processing, transformation and quality checks
• Work with various data systems to write distributed data pipelines, and orchestrate real- time & batch processing

Participate in and champion the team’s code review process, promoting a collaborative, respectful review culture that prioritizes maintainable data pipelines and best practices

We expect you to have: (Minimum Qualifications)

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software/data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python (required), Java, SQL.
• Experience with Docker, Git, AWS (S3, EC2, ECS), Databricks.
• Strong command-line and scripting skills (Bash/zsh).
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.

It would be great if you (Preferred Qualifications)

• Have a Databricks Data Engineering Associate/Professional certification.
