Job description

The Team

You will join a forward-thinking AI Innovation team focused on building a next-generation AI Lab that transforms the student journey through intelligent, data-driven solutions. This team is responsible for delivering cutting-edge capabilities across university matching, application processing, and AI-powered advisory services. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to define enterprise-grade AI solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term digital transformation goals.

The Role

As an AI Strategist/Architect, you will lead the design and execution of the organization’s AI vision, with a strong focus on building and scaling an AI Lab on AWS. You will define architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices while driving the development of innovative AI solutions leveraging LLMs, Generative AI, and advanced data pipelines. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on expertise to design scalable, production-ready systems that enhance student application workflows, document intelligence, and personalized recommendations. You will serve as a technical leader, guiding engineering teams and ensuring alignment between business objectives and AI capabilities.

What You’ll Bring

• Mandatory: Proven experience designing and setting up AI Labs on AWS
• Strong expertise in AI/ML architecture and end-to-end solution design
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI architectures
• Deep knowledge of RAG frameworks, vector databases, and AI pipelines
• Experience building scalable AI platforms on cloud (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable)
• Strong understanding of data architecture, model lifecycle, and MLOps
• Experience defining AI governance, model evaluation, and responsible AI practices
• Ability to translate complex business needs into AI-driven solutions
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring AI/ML engineering teams
• Experience delivering secure, scalable, and production-ready AI systems
