What MatX Is Building

MatX's mission is to make the world’s best AI models run as efficiently as allowed by physics, bringing the world years ahead in AI quality and availability. We are developing vertically integrated full-stack solutions from silicon to systems, including hardware and software, to train and run the largest ML workloads for AGI. We are looking for people who are excited about systems-focused ML research.

What You'll Do Here

• Train LLMs with tweaks to attention or numerics formats
• Run quality evaluations
• Publicize your findings

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Math, or related fields
• Experienced in training and tweaking neural networks, ideally LLMs
• Perhaps: experience optimizing neural networks for hardware efficiency, for example, regarding FLOPs, memory bandwidth, communication bandwidth, precision, parallel layout, batch sizes
• This is a hybrid role that will require you to work onsite Tues - Thurs at our HQ in Mountain View, CA

 

What We Offer

• Compensation of $10000 per month, paid semi-monthly
