IT Operations Intern (Fall 2025)

Job Description

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.

We are looking for an IT Operations Specialist Intern.  In summary, you’ll work closely with the Information Technology team as a whole, help expand our HQ presence by providing IT support on-site and using remote tools as necessary amongst different buildings within HQ. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong professionalism in delivering excellent customer service, using sound judgment for timely problem resolution. They should understand office culture, maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and other customers. This internship is intended for students graduating in Summer 2026 or within the following year.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Document, track, and monitor customer problems to ensure resolution in a timely manner through common customer request methods (Ticketing Systems, Chat Software, Email, etc)
  • Assist in building and documenting standards and IT policies across the company
  • Support Lifecycle in the Onboarding/Offboarding of Figure employees
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and other IT assets and ensure compliance standards are followed
  • Support common IT services: Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, security hardware, etc…
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams
  • Be an advocate of knowledge sharing across IT
  • Provide AV Operational support in our conference room spaces and phone booths
  • Provide event related support in conference rooms and large meeting rooms spaces
  • Maintenance and upkeep of printer related requests 

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, graduating Summer 2026 or within the following year.
  • Strong professionalism and customer service skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues promptly.
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

 

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, JIRA, and ZoomLinux, Mac, and Windows troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 PC hardware, Linux software troubleshooting, and Mac environment and hardware troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in video conference (Google Meets/Zoom)
  • Experience with a ticketing support platform such as JIRA, Zendesk, etc.
  • Familiarity of Mac OS, iOS and Apple hardware, Windows 10/11, Linux Ubuntu versions
  • Strong customer service, problem solving, and teamwork abilities
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, specifically with regard to process and policy standard documenting 
  • Great  communication and interpersonal skills

 

The US base hourly range for this full-time position is between $30 - $35 per hour.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
