Help Improve Cantonese Voice AI (Hong Kong)

AI systems still struggle to understand natural Cantonese speech, especially across real-life scenarios. In this project, you’ll help improve voice recognition by recording spoken Cantonese prompts used in smart devices.

 

What you'll do

 

Recording Task

▷ Record a total of 200 Cantonese sentences

▷ Content types include:

　– Wake-up words

　– Wake-up words + query

　– Query sentences

▷ Complete all recordings in one session (no switching speakers)

▷ Record in a quiet environment with no background noise

▷ Speak naturally and fluently (no word-by-word reading)

▷ Follow different speaking speeds:

　– Slow: ≤1300ms

　– Normal: ~700–1100ms

　– Fast: ≤600ms

▷ Ensure accurate pronunciation (e.g., clearly distinguish similar sounds)

 

What you'll get

 

▷ Pay: USD $0.13 per recording/message

▷ Total task time: ~0.5–1 hour for 200 sentences

▷Total pay = 200 × 0.13 = $26 USD

▷ Flexible, one-time task

▷ Work from home

 

What you'll need

 

▷ Native Cantonese (Hong Kong) speaker

▷ Must be a Hong Kong resident

▷ Clear and standard Cantonese (HK) pronunciation

▷ Ability to follow instructions in English

▷ Access to a quiet recording environment

▷ Laptop or desktop device

 

 

This role is a project-based opportunity with CrowdGen, where you will join the CrowdGen Community as an Independent Contractor.
