In this role, you’ll work directly with our leadership team to define and execute recruitment strategies for high-impact roles - from engineering and AI to operations and product. You’ll build and lead a world-class talent function that delivers excellence at every stage of the hiring journey, with a strong emphasis on quality, ownership, and speed. Your hires won’t just fill seats - they’ll be the force behind how fast and how far we go.

What You’ll Do
Lead Global Hiring Strategy. Partner with executive leadership to define headcount plans, talent priorities, and long-term recruitment strategies.
Build and Manage a High-Performance TA Team. Mentor and scale a team of recruiters and sourcers who are resourceful, mission-aligned, and execution-driven.
Own Full-Cycle Recruitment for Critical Roles. Personally led hiring for senior and strategic positions, particularly in tech, product, and leadership functions.
Drive Proactive Sourcing & Talent Pipelining. Implement sourcing strategies that extend beyond LinkedIn, leveraging platforms, networks, events, and creative outreach.
Champion Talent Quality. Set and uphold high standards for candidate evaluation, interview structure, and hiring decision frameworks.
Elevate Candidate Experience. Ensure a high-touch, human-first journey from outreach to onboarding, reflecting our culture and values.
Drive Process, Data & Tools. Optimize our ATS, implement structured reporting, and use metrics to improve conversion, velocity, and quality.
Build BJAK’s Employer Brand. Collaborate on storytelling initiatives that position BJAK as a destination for top talent regionally and globally.

What We’re Looking For
6+ years of end-to-end talent acquisition experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
Proven track record of hiring across multiple functions and seniority levels, ideally in tech, fintech, or high-growth environments
Experience recruiting across multiple countries or regions (e.g. ASEAN, East Asia)
Strong sourcing expertise and ability to train others on best practices
Familiarity with ATS platforms, sourcing tools, and data-driven hiring
Excellent stakeholder management, judgment, and communication skills
High EQ, adaptability, and ability to lead under pressure
Based in Malaysia or open to regional travel and remote collaboration
Nice to Have
Experience hiring in AI, software engineering, or senior executive roles
Familiarity with international employment practices and hiring compliance
Background in employer branding, recruitment marketing, or TA operations
Experience building TA teams or processes from the ground up
Exposure to fast-scaling startups or venture-backed tech companies
