This role will partner extensively with management and corporate finance to provide the financial support required by leadership to effectively plan their business and deliver results. This is a high-profile position. THE PERSON: This is a leadership role requiring strong interpersonal and managerial skills, as well as being detail oriented for accurate reporting and analysis. This person is comfortable driving both strategic and operational initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a results-driven approach, high sense of teamwork, positive outlook, and the ability to make recommendations and influence decisions in a fast-moving, complex environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads overall finance function, including business partnership, accounting, controllership, audit and tax Partners with corporate finance and regional leaders to establish and communicate financial objectives for the business as well as being co-navigator and trusted advisor to drive results for the business Oversees accruals and budgeting for regional sales commissions Coordinates integrated business planning activities across finance and operations teams including quarterly guidance, monthly forecasting, annual operating plans, and long-range planning models Identifies risk mitigations and opportunities to meet and beat quarterly guidance supporting the weekly corporate attainment processes Contributes to LRP, annual budget and quarterly financial planning and reporting for the region Ensures accuracy and integrity of accounting close for all financial metrics of the business Facilitates forecasting processes improvement, partnering with sales ops, corp. finance and operations to capture latest business outlook and support downstream reporting applications with timely and accurate data Develops and implements performance metrics and leveraging data, experience and leadership to drive informed decision making for the business Provides strong leadership and development of team members Fosters a positive, high-performance, team-centric and success-oriented culture in support of CFO Org Operating Principles PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Finance professional experience operating within a complex regional structure with multiple corporate entities in a multinational, high tech environment Experienced people manager capable of leading remote, multi-cultural teams in dynamic work environments Strong working knowledge of GAAP for technology industries Strong business acumen in technology hardware/supply-chain finance Prior experience managing M&A activities is a plus Prior experience in semiconductor industry is a plus ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline preferred LOCATION: San Jose This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-GW1 #LI-Hybrid Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
