The Data Scientist will work with large and complex data sets to uncover insights that drive business decisions. This role involves applying technical and statistical techniques, building dashboards, and partnering with internal stakeholders to support business health, portfolio optimization, and strategic initiatives. This role offers opportunities to contribute to impactful projects while continuing to develop advanced analytics skills.
Key Responsibilities
-Manipulate and analyze large data sets using statistical and technical methods to extract actionable insights.
-Collate, structure, and cleanse raw data for downstream analytics and reporting.
-Build and validate reports and dashboards for client and internal projects, focusing on trend analysis and performance tracking.
-Deliver clear and accurate visualizations for stakeholder presentations.
-Work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align data solutions with objectives.
-Support senior colleagues in preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
-Contribute to project execution within defined timelines and budget parameters.
-Assist in initiative tracking, new product development, and Go-To-Market strategies.
-Partner with internal teams to strengthen focus on business health, portfolio performance, revenue optimization opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
-Implement file integrations to streamline data ingestion and processing workflows.
-Develop and maintain automated alerts for key metrics and performance indicators to enable proactive decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
-Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred).
-Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
-Good understanding of statistical modelling and data cleansing techniques.
-Experience with Hadoop and data warehouse environments.
-Strong communication skills (oral and written) with excellent command of English.
-Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
-High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality outputs.
-Creative and innovative approach to addressing data challenges.
-Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to operate with urgency and accountability.
-Effective project management skills, including risk identification and mitigation.
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Exposure and experience working with Financial Institutions or Payments industry (Preferred)
