About the Role:

As a Data Engineer you will be part of the core data team building out world class data models and pipelines that will feed into our products. You will be working on the intersection of all data streams in the company from our IOT data consuming 100s of thousands of data points per minute to our user data. You will partner closely with both the Product, Engineering, as well as the Strategic Analytics teams. We are seeking strong team players who thrive on innovation and continuous improvement. You will be joining a new team driving the creation of our new data infrastructure to support our Enterprise client needs. We are building a new platform out with a compelling scope in integrating the latest technology as we build the product. Your contributions will directly feed products that will be used by 100s of thousands of users using our product.

What You’ll Do:

Build data pipelines based on product data which will go into our product for Enterprise customers
Architect and design data models in collaboration with data and product teams
Communicate effectively across multiple teams and projects.
Actively work on deploying Data Ops into Motive, driving the most robust data models using the latest tools in the market
You will be working with airflow, aws, data observability tooling and table creation frameworks similar to dbt.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field, e.g. Computer Science, Math, Economics, or Statistics
6+ years experience in Data Engineering, including experience building modeled tables
Strong applied knowledge in SQL, Python and modern data engineering stack (dbt, airflow, AWS)
Willingness to learn new technologies
Solid communication, collaboration, and people skills
