Together, we advance your career.   THE ROLE As a Data Engineer in our Systems Power & Performance Engineering team, you will drive sustainable, scalable, and automated solutions for our data analysis capabilities. In this high visibility position, your software systems engineering expertise will solve data flow & analysis challenges, your ability to work cross-functionally will ensure full engagement with our core automation, Product Engineering, & other teams, and your software program management skills will help provide a tactical execution structure for your strategic plans. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Own data automation spaces for our team, including ingress, conversion, egress, report outs, and documentation to enable crisp summaries of product and process health, including data store health and readiness Optimize data processes & transformations to improve efficacy and efficiency of both staff and compute resources, defining and publishing KPIs where appropriate Propose & Implement AI and ML strategies to drive product optimization insights, root cause analyses, and drive process improvements. Engage with cross-functional leadership & teams to integrate your deliverables with other project work streams Hands-on debug to root cause performance and data/analysis flow & delivery challenges; collaborate with peer teams to analyze and resolve issues. Assist cross-functional technical teams with targeted ad hoc analyses methodologies Collaborate with other engineers on common program test & debug activities and process improvements   PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  Languages - .Net, Java, C, Perl, Python, XML, SQL, JSON, etc. Databases – relational, blob, intermediate stateless data stores, AWS, Snowflake Analysis Tools – PowerBI, Sigma, Excel, etc. Process Flow – GitHub, Jenkins, nifi, ETL in general, etc. Direct experience on system power and performance analysis   ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Computer / Electrical Engineering preferred with 5-7+ years industry experience This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-AP2 #LI-HYBRID Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
