About the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office

The Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) mission is to accelerate the adoption of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) across the Department of Defense (DoD). The CDAO works across the Military Departments and Services, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and other DoD Components to design, develop, field, and scale technologies, capabilities, strategies, policies, and other guidance related to data, analytics, and AI in support of DoD's warfighting and business functions, including responding to crises and emerging challenges with state of the art digital solutions.

The mission of the CDAO Acquisitions Directorate is to provide rapid, effective and efficient acquisition support to CDAO and Joint Warfighters. In order to provide rapid, effective and efficient acquisition support to CDAO, the Department, and the Combatant Commands, CDAO Acquisition Directorate is focused on three primary functions: procurement, program execution; and program analysis.

This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. This position is a Supervisory, GG-1102-13.

This role will close for submissions on March, 15th 2024.

What you'll do here:

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Agreements Officer in CDAO's Digital and AI Procurement Office within the Acquisition Directorate, and to perform the full range of duties defined for this position as documented in the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation, and DoD policies.

As part of the Acquisition Team in a high operation tempo environment, plans the overall approach to meet contracting program objectives for a wide range of programs, products, or systems, which may involve emerging rapid acquisition processes, span multiple years or involve successive program stages.

Procures complex and/or diversified services and/or commodities. Evaluates and executes an acquisition schedule so as to not delay award of any assigned contract, often developing/utilizing rapid acquisition processes.

Serves as business advisor to a wide range of customers in a an environment with organizational and mission volatility, makes substantive contributions to special projects/initiatives, and performs special assignments.

Executes post-award contract performance management actions on assigned contracts. Performs contract administration

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required.

This position is subject to provisions of the WHS/OSD PPP Pilot Program.

This position requires a Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.

This position may require work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or mandatory overtime.

This position may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station via military or commercial aircraft.
