Amazon Web Services is seeking a talented, self-directed field marketing expert to lead our Strategic Account Marketing in SSA. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, fast-growing business.

As the Strategic Account Marketing Manager in SSA you will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the strategic customer audience and marketing strategies to address them. This audience contains local enterprises as well as global enterprises, and encompass full range of audiences both technical and executives. Your remit will include understanding our business strategy, understanding customer needs, building a targeting framework, defining the customer proposition. Then responsible for execution including program planning, campaign/messaging development and coordinating execution to deliver results across these CEE accounts. You will also be the lead field marketer in South Africa, acting as the single threaded leader for the sales team within SSA.


Key job responsibilities
• Execute regional enterprise account-based marketing programs and activities that help to drive awareness, engagement, customer adoption and pipeline acceleration.
• Work with account teams, Solution Architects, sales and partner marketing to integrate marketing into priority account plans.
• Work with global marketing teams to leverage programs to meet customer requirements and find ways to invent and simplify to address specific customer needs.
• Act as marketing contact with sales team and leaders, including representing the wider marketing activities impacting SSA region including participation in sales team calls, in-person meetings and planning sessions.
• Deliver clear, consistent, and frequent communication with marketing stakeholders to ensure ongoing clarity on strategy, tactics, goals, and performance for campaigns.
• Provide detailed campaign updates via regular and ad hoc business reviews, which highlight key metrics and KPIs reflecting performance.
