📐 About this role
As Writer’s Vice President of Life Sciences Solutions, you will lead Writer’s efforts to leverage our full-stack Generative AI platform to transform the Life Sciences industry, with a focus on global biopharma.  This role is both hands-on and strategic. You will be responsible for:

• Product strategy - determining the Generative AI use cases and customer segments in healthcare where Writer can have a major impact, quickly

• Marketing - developing and telling the story of how Writer will transform biopharma, in the language of our industry

• Sales - working closely with our talented, experienced Strategic Sales team to generate and close deals with industry leaders

• Delivery - working with our technical and customer success teams to build and implement GenAI healthcare applications that transform our clients’ businesses

You will report to the Health industry lead, who manages the combined Healthcare and Life Sciences vertical.

🦸🏻‍♀️ Your responsibilities

• Become recognized as an expert in how GenAI will transform Life Science businesses, and leverage that expertise to both develop our healthcare offerings and reputation in the sector

• Help our world-class technical teams understand the structure and nuances of Life Science workflows across Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Clinical use cases  

• Leverage this shared understanding to design, build and deliver industry-leading applications in record time, both pre- and post-sales

• Understand how generative AI use cases drive real enterprise value for Life Sciences clients, and develop methodologies for prospectively predicting RoI, as well as measuring RoI in implementation

• Collaborate with Writer’s Go-To-Market team to develop demos and sales enablement materials in these use cases

• Partner closely with sales teams to develop executive relationships, generate opportunities, and close enterprise scale deals, both with new prospects and expanding our roles serving global biopharma leaders

⭐️ Is this you?

• 7+ years at a major (global top 20) pharmaceutical company in a commercial or medical affairs role.  Relevant experience at a top-tier consulting firm serving biopharma will also be considered

• Deep understanding of the entire pharmaceutical value chain, particularly Medical Affairs, Commercial/Marketing, Sales and Clinical Trials

• Thrive in a scrappy, fast-paced environment - ours is not a mature product category, it will require creativity and active listening to figure out how Writer’s solutions can be most transformative

• A deep understanding of the legal, regulatory, policy and competitive dynamics affecting the life science industry globally, including US FDA, EMA and global regulations regarding the approval and promotion of regulated life science products, particularly prescription pharmaceuticals 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
