Job Summary

We are seeking a technically strong Test Automation Developer to join our us. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain automation solutions to improve test coverage, efficiency, and consistency across HP’s commercial laptop and desktop validation activities. Working closely with internal engineering team and external ODM partners, you will contribute to building a scalable automation framework and supporting advanced testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and tools to enhance validation coverage and productivity for notebook and desktop systems, covering hardware, software, and peripheral compatibility.

• Utilize at least one programming language (e.g., Python) to support automation and analysis tasks that help ensure product quality for both ARM-based and x86-based platforms.

• Collaborate internally and externally with validation engineers, program managers, and ODM partners to understand test requirements and translate them into automated solutions.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize automation scripts to ensure reliability and performance.

• Contribute to documentation, best practices, and knowledge sharing within the validation team at every stage of development.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

• 5+ years of system level hardware and software level integration testing, Display, webcam, commodity and modules compatibility testing and troubleshooting. Well understanding on drivers, modules, firmware and utilities is a must. Experience on conferencing solution including Video and Audio related is preferred.

• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining test automation for both ARM-based and x86-based platforms.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C#, or Java) for automation and data analysis tasks.

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar).
