About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Mobile Developer specializing in Android development, with experience building applications for 10-foot devices (Android TV) as a plus, to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality Android applications, working closely with product and technical teams to deliver impactful features.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain modern and efficient Android applications.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend teams to implement new features and improve existing ones.
Ensure app stability, performance, and security across different devices and Android versions.
Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and adhere to best coding practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues reported by users or identified during testing.
Keep up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and incorporate best practices into the project.

Core Skills:

Must Have:

Familiar with MVVM Pattern
Coroutines
Handle services with Workmanager.
Experience with Firebase integration for crashlytics, analytics and performance monitoring.
Compose
Familiarity with ExoPlayer and video playback flows

Nice to Have:

Android TV development experience / Leanback
Solid experience with video streaming technologies.
Understanding of various video formats (e.g., MP4, WebM, AVI), containers, and codecs
Experience with video streaming protocols like HLS and DASH.
Knowledgeable about their implementations and optimizations.
Solid grasp of Digital Rights Management (DRM) solutions (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) and their role in securing video content.

Effective team collaboration within Agile methodologies, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Clear communication with product and technical teams to define deliverables and project scope
Proven experience with Google Play Store app deployment, including ASO, release management (alpha, beta, production), version control, policy compliance, performance monitoring, update strategies, and localization.
Active participation in release planning, bug fixing, and feature development cycles
