Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. 

We are looking for a Staff Quality Engineer to define an internal quality plan to help improve our yield rate in manufacturing robots.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality plans and procedures for internal processes and products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Investigate root causes of product defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze data from testing and inspection reports to improve product reliability and performance.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to quality standards, procedures, and inspections.

Requirements: 

  • 7+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing engineering
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and problem-solving methodologies 
  • Proficiency with quality inspection tools, testing methodologies, and statistical analysis.
  • Desire to work in a startup environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and industrial engineering principles
  • Experience with robotic systems, automation, or electromechanical devices.
  • Expert at GD&T

Bonus Qualifications: 

  • CATIA V6 experience
  • Knowledge of supplier quality management and working with global supply chains
  • Familiarity with statistical software (JMP)
  • Robotics or other high tech industry experience
