Staff, Product Manager, Wally and AI Integrations
Job Description
Position Summary...
What you'll do...
About the Role
We’re looking for a visionary and execution-strong Staff Product Manager with a passion for AI, retail transformation, and building zero-to-one experiences that redefine how decisions get made! This role will lead Wally, our GenAI-powered assistant that helps merchandising teams move faster, execute smarter, and plan more effectively—by turning fragmented tools and siloed data into intelligent, trusted action.
As Staff Product Manager you will drive end-to-end product strategy and execution for a high-visibility platform that blends cutting-edge LLM capabilities with day-to-day merchandising decision workflows. You’ll work cross-functionally with AI researchers, engineers, designers, and business leaders to make Wally the decision assistant every merchant loves.
What You’ll Do
Owning and evolving the product strategy to position Wally as the merchandising assistant delivering proactive, explainable, and trustworthy AI recommendations.
Leading the full PDLC for a complex, multi-system product—including roadmap creation, backlog refinement, release planning, and cross-team coordination.
Driving integrations and interoperability across assortment planning, pricing, forecasting, and vendor negotiation tools to consolidate fragmented workflows.
Embedding trust and transparency into GenAI recommendations through explainability layers and human-in-the-loop controls.
Defining and tracking product value through comprehensive KPIs, user adoption metrics, and ROI models aligned with long-range planning goals.
Building alignment across teams by partnering with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Finance, and Business Ops to resolve dependencies, escalate risks, and champion scalable solutions.
You’ll Thrive Here If You
You love working on ambiguous 0→1 products and can bring structure, focus, and crisp storytelling to chaos.
You’re excited about demystifying AI, and building user trust through transparency, control, and feedback loops.
You’re obsessed with solving real-world business problems, not just building shiny features—especially in retail, planning, or supply chain domains.
You excel at navigating complex ecosystems, integrating across multiple tools, and unifying workflows that feel disjointed.
You’re a strong cross-functional leader who’s just as comfortable in design critiques, sprint planning, or exec readouts.
You bring an insight-to-action mindset, always asking: "What will the user do with this, and how will it make them better?"
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of owning complex, cross-functional products from ideation through scaled adoption.
Demonstrated success managing the full product lifecycle for AI-driven or workflow-based products across multi-quarter, multi-team roadmaps.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a history of influencing across product, engineering, design, and business teams.
Comfort with ambiguity and zero-to-one product development, especially in enterprise settings where user trust and change management are critical.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (e.g., LLMs, retrieval, explainability) and their application to real-world enterprise workflows.
Bonus If You Have
Experience driving product adoption in complex ecosystems, including integration with upstream/downstream systems, change management, and user education strategies.
Deep experience working in technical environments, with the ability to understand and influence architectural tradeoffs, manage tech debt, and guide prioritization alongside engineering.
Strong strategic and financial acumen, including experience defining product-level KPIs, conducting ROI analyses, and driving long-range planning in collaboration with business and finance partners.
