Role Overview
Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights that drive real-world impact? As an IAC Data Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping the customer experience by analyzing large-scale datasets and delivering insights that empower Instock Planners and leadership teams.
Your work will directly influence critical areas such as inbound planning, inventory management, and inventory health—ensuring the right products are available at the right time to create a “WOW” experience for our customers.
In this role, you will:
- Lead data-driven decision-making across complex and ambiguous challenges.
- Solve strategic problems such as defining optimal inventory design targets and identifying key drivers.
- Build and scale analytical capabilities within the IAC team.
- Develop structured data models, define constraints and decision variables, and run simulations to optimize business outcomes.
- Continuously challenge the status quo with a proactive and innovative mindset.
- Demonstrate strong decision-making acumen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What You Will Do
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and growth opportunities
- Deliver actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across Instock Planning and Analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support key initiatives and align inventory targets
- Define and monitor performance metrics that drive operational excellence
- Identify inventory risks and recommend data-driven solutions
- Develop and refine inventory models tailored to various retail categories
- Build attribution models for different components of inventory
- Optimize core queries, data pipelines, and dashboards in partnership with inventory-related teams
- Build subject matter expertise in inventory policies and serve as a trusted resource
- Manage inventory goals through timely interventions
- Maintain a repository of events impacting inventory positions to improve forecasting models
- Resolve inconsistencies in data logic, accuracy, and reporting standards
- Design and enhance automated reporting tools and dashboards
- Leverage data to improve operational efficiency and uncover growth opportunities
- Define strategic goals and success metrics to drive collaborative outcomes
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics
- Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Proficiency in Tableau or Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in data analysis, planning, and forecasting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Customer-centric mindset

- Bilingual in Korean and English

Document Return Policy
- This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
- A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
