Sr. Systems Design Engineer - Data Center GPU

AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Systems Design Engineer to join our growing team. Hands on technical role to drive both Out of Band and In Band System Management testing. These include things like Telemetry testing (PLDM, Redfish), FW Loading and Security related to FW. You will be part of the Graphics Data Center and Accelerated Processing Validation team. We are looking for people with passion, technical experience, and energy to stretch the boundary of testing. You will get the opportunity to collaborate with Silicon Designers/Architects, Firmware, SW, and validation teams to bring our products to market. THE PERSON: Motivated problem solver with initiative and ability to drive things to closure. Can work independently and collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve the team goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Telemetry testing (PLDM, Redfish), FW Loading and Security related to FW. You will be part of the Validation organization working both internally and externally to do testing in house and co-validation with our customers and partners. You will help to build up our test case suites, leverage our partner/customer test cases and drive execution. This role will involve test planning, test creation, test execution and debug. You will also get involved in RAS testing and leverage tooling for hardware problem isolation. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong experience in the System Management space at a Server/SOC level Experience with PLDM and Redfish protocols/specifications Experience with FW upgrade/downgrade and security testing Understanding and experience with SPDM, eROT, Attestation testing Experience working on GPU/Compute Accelerators a plus Experience creating, executing and debugging test cases Strong written and oral communication skills Linux & windows skills Programming skills to support test case development ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master's degree with years of experience, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Sciences, or related fields, or equivalent LOCATION: Markham, ON #LI-SL2 #LI-HYBRID Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
