About the Role: 

We are looking for a Sr. Cloud Security Engineer to join our IT and Security team. This role is responsible for maintaining (and raising) the security bar across our production cloud environments. We are looking for motivated, passionate engineers who are experts in cloud security architecture and operations and who understand what it means to scale security processes in a fast evolving and growing organization.  You should have experience working with complex organizations involving many different roles and business needs and implementing automation and a self-service approach when developing security policies and applying them to tools and processes engineers use every day. 

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate technical leadership in multiple domain areas, providing mentorship to other team members.
• Design and operate scalable processes to provision cloud access and maintain least-privilege
• Leverage your expertise in systems, network, and cloud security to troubleshoot production services
• Build monitoring and alerting systems to ensure systems are hardened, vulnerabilities are patched, and threats are detected
• Operate vulnerability discovery tools for operating systems, containers, and software libraries. Experience with Wiz.io is a plus.
• Build, deploy, and manage production security tools and services to monitor networks, endpoints, and cloud workloads
• Maintain a reliable and low-touch infrastructure
• Communicate effectively with business customers, suppliers, and partners.

Qualifications:  

• 7+ years experience working in an information security discipline
• Detailed understanding of cloud and network security and experience deploying services in a multi-cloud environment.
• Experience deploying and customizing security tools to address threats and lower risk: CSPM, vulnerability scanners, static analyzers, web application firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security monitoring, etc.
• Knowledge of networking and web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, REST), and the ability to analyze traffic to find anomalies
• Experience in validating applications and solutions architectures from the security point of view
• Understanding of modern cloud technology components and deployment patterns: virtual machines, containers, Kubernetes, serverless, infrastructure as code, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other teams to achieve complex objectives
• Contributions to the security community, such as open source tools, research papers, conference talks, etc.
• A true passion for generative AI.
