What you will bring to the team

As a Software Tester Engineer I for Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, you will play a key role in the evolution of the shopping experiences retailers offer and help shape the future of retail. We provide services to retail clients worldwide by developing and delivering an array of custom software solutions such as POS, self-checkout, and mobility solutions.

What you will be doing: Your typical day as a Toshiba / Manual / Automation Tester will involve:

Responsibilities: Include working in cross-functional teams to Quality assurance of POS OS features. The position involves participation and contribution in all phases of OS software testing, from design analysis through Test preparation, Manual and Automated Test cases creation and execution. The candidate will need to communicate at different technical levels, from the application architects to the application developers.

Naturally, to be successful in this role, you must have and know of

• 3 - 4 years of experience in full software development life cycle
• English: Advanced
• Skilled in Software Testing
• Skilled in Programming languages (mainly Java, Python, or any other programming language skill as well)
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux/Android Operating Systems (Linux Mainly)
• The candidate needs Test and analytical skills, problem determination and debugging, attention to detail, teamwork and excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge in Software testing and test automation (Test case creation and execution, test planning / estimation, defect tracking)
• Knowledge of software concepts/methodology/life cycle, especially agile methodology
• Able to learn not common technologies.
• Knowledge of Networking (DHCP, Networking devices Switches and routers, Security protocols like SSH, SFTP, SCP) - Basic Level
