AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: AMD’s Radeon Technologies Group (RTG) System-on-Chip (SoC) team in Markham is leading the frontend verification and integration of next-generation Instinct compute and machine learning products. Our team supports the full frontend development cycle of advanced ASIC designs, working on a fast-paced roadmap in collaboration with SoC and IP teams across the US, India, and China, as well as third-party tool vendors. THE PERSON: You will join the SoC Design Verification team, responsible for ensuring that complex hardware systems function correctly before fabrication. Using languages such as C++, SystemVerilog, and UVM, you’ll verify core features like clocking, boot-up, and data paths. This role offers deep exposure to SoC architecture, data flows, test development, and verification methodology optimization. We value a collaborative, performance-driven team culture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with SoC, Architecture, and IP teams globally (GFX, Memory controller, Multimedia engines, IOs, PCIe) to develop and execute functional and performance verification test plans Develop SoC subsystem test cases (e.g., GFX, memory controller, multimedia engines, IOs, PCIe) Create and maintain scripts (Perl/Python) to manage compute resources Support and enhance regression flows using Perl, Python, MySQL, and PHP Debug simulation models and test cases Evaluate and integrate tools and flows to improve simulation performance and reporting Perform simulation debugging and Verilog/SystemVerilog development PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, Perl, and Verilog Solid understanding of digital systems and computer organization Proficient in debugging both software and hardware-related issues Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field LOCATION: Markham, ON #LI-IA1 #LI-Hybrid Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
