AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: AMD is looking for an influential software engineer to help build automation, observability, and analytics solutions for its global infrastructure and services. We are looking for someone with a passion for developing efficient software solutions to run a large-scale network spanning across multiple vendors and domains like Data Centers, AI/ML clusters, SDWAN, Campus. This is a hands-on role to design, architect and code, as well as lead other engineers to build and deliver solutions. THE PERSON: You are an individual, who is an expert at full stack development, and passionate about Software Defined Infrastructure and Operations. You are well experienced in designing, implementing and operating software services, and stay up-to-date on modern architectures, technologies, and solutions across the industry. You are willing to learn, have ability to lead cross functional teams, and display a can-do attitude to get things done in time. You are able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Architecting, designing, and implementing next generation deployment architecture and automation and observability solutions for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring and troubleshooting. Lead and implement various software projects, that will help operate AMD's global infrastructure in an efficient, resilient and performant manner. Bring passion, enthusiasm and dedication for a metrics driven approach towards uptime, resiliency, performance, low latency, and end user satisfaction. Collaborate with other teams to leverage components and technologies for faster development and rollouts. Be accountable for establishing technical level relationships and partnering with all business disciplines and other teams to define and implement the automation solution. Bring innovations with focus on Artificial Intelligence and champion AMD-on-AMD approach to infrastructure and operations. Present and help with executive presentations to CxO levels within AMD and across industry forums. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Passionate about infrastructure automation through software, together with solid hands-on experience of network or other infrastructure automation Frontend and Backend software development: HTML/CSS, Java Script, Python, Java, Go, etc. Expertise with automation tools/frameworks/languages: Ansible, Terraform, Python, etc. Expertise with deployment frame works, and CI/CD pipelines: Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, etc. Experience with using LLMs for automating various monitoring and analytics tasks. Experience with both private and public cloud infrastructure and interfacing programmatically through APIs Experience working in a Scrum team or other Agile methodologies with a proven track record Experience in guiding other engineers with appropriate use of delegation coupled with “trust but verify” validation to ensure alignment and consistency in deliverables.
