Senior Software Engineer, OtterPilot

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join a team that empowers you to grow, be your authentic self, and do your best work every day.  We need your help building Otter Pilot 2.0 leveraging your experience in backend infrastructure, system integration, and hopefully Machine Learning experience.  No idea is too big or too small to matter, our reputation is based on innovation and trust, and that begins with an open, collaborative work environment where every voice is heard.  

We are looking for someone who 

• Is an infinite learner and thought leader
• revels in collaboration with fellow engineers to bring the best in yourself and others
• takes pride in the scale of your work and its reliability
• has a Bachelors, Master or PhD in Computer Science with a comprehensive knowledge in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, operating systems and system design/integration
• has 8+ years of experience in developing/architecting scalable backend solutions
• Is proficient in Python.  Knowledge in C++ and Typescript is a great plus. 
• Built systems using a variety of Databases, Queuing Systems, and Pub Sub solutions with an in depth understanding of how things work underneath the hood.
• Some experience integrating with SDKs a great plus
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus

Salary range

Salary Range: $210,000 to $250,000 USD per year.

This salary range represents the low and high end of the estimated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered for the role is dependent on several factors. Our base salary is just one component of a comprehensive total rewards package.
