Get to Know the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer with our team, you will be focused on building an Internal Support Bot to handle the platform support queries across the entire organization - TI Support Bot. You will be the technical backbone for our "TI Support Bot" and other internal AI initiatives. You will not only build scalable backend solutions but also leverage cutting-edge AI (LLMs, LangChain) to automate support queries and optimize efficiency across the entire organization.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and work onsite at Grab Office.

This role is onsite based in our Petaling Jaya, Malaysia office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Take full ownership of projects from conception to deployment. You will independently plan and build complex backend features.
• Design and develop chatbots and support bots using LLMs, LangChain, and LangGraph to handle platform support queries and enhance driver/employee experiences.
• Build scalable cloud-based backends and efficient web interfaces. Write maintainable code in Go and Python.
• Deploy machine learning pipelines and integrate AI agents with existing infrastructure. Manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud resources (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Provide deep technical mentorship to junior engineers. Foster a culture of platform-thinking and "shift-left" testing across engineering and research teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations, conduct root cause analysis, and lead post-mortems to ensure system reliability.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with a history of delivering successful solutions.
• Proficiency in server-side programming, specifically Go (Golang) and Python.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (Large Language Models), LangChain, and LangGraph for conversational AI development.
• Practical experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Grasp of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and multi-threading.
• An advocate for automated testing (unit, integration) and writing concise technical documentation.
• Experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
